Hotel review - Hotel Germisara, Geoagiu Bai, Romania

The room was of good size and comfort and the breakfast was delicious.

The set menu for dinner was light and good.

Free wirelesses internet and private parking which cost about 1 euro per day.

We also used the swimming pool and the thermal pool - both were a great means of relaxation and rejuvenation.

Overall, highly recommended hotel.

We took several examples of above average hotels, for 2 nights over the first week-end in October, for a double room:

Best hotel rates for Oktoberfest 2012 in and around Munich

As the start of Oktoberfest approaches, the options for a hotel stay become more and more limited and, consequently, the prices rise sky high.

We managed to find some (still) reasonable rates, but these are also likely to be booked soon.

The last rooms still available start at 46 euro per person per night (which is a great deal taking into account the madness that is in the city at that time of the year). Then for the top-end of the scale, for about 85 euro per person per night stay at the Sheraton in Munich (see list of available hotels below).

We based our search on a three night stay comprising the first week-end of Oktoberst: 21-24 September 2012, a double room, breakfast included, where possible (after a long night on a beer diet, a hearty breakfast is a great way to start the day):

- Best Western Grand City Neufahrn, for a total price of 278 euro from Otel.com (without breakfast)

How to avoid long lines at Tour Eiffel in Paris

It is very simple: purchase online tickets in advance from the official website of Tour Eiffel.


You have to select the floor you want to visit (top floor or the second floor) the date, the hour, the number of persons, then pay online, print the ticket and bring it with you at the Tour.

Then, when in Paris, on the set time and date, go directly to the stewards which attend the "People with reservation" desk and simply enter and enjoy the views.
