Summer sale from Expedia

Expedia has a special summer sale period until 31 August.

You can find up-market hotels worldwide at the best prices.

We searched some examples for 2 nights over the week-end 17-19 August (we had to use an English version of Expedia, so we used the Australian version - for currency conversion we usually use www.oanda.com):

- Hotel Ampervilla Airport**** in Munich, Germany: 110 euro (breakfast included). On booking.com and lastminute.com the price was 138 euro (25% higher);

-Hotel Meierhof**** in Zurich, Sqitzerland: 206 euro (breakfast included). On booking.com and laterooms.com the price was 260 euro (almost 30% more);

- Hilton Milan**** in Milan, Italy: 221 euro (breakfast included). On booking.com the price was 270 euro without breakfast (almost 25% more without counting the missing breakfast). On hrs.com the price was 234 euro, breakfast included.

Of course, all the above are a selection of the deals we found in some large cities in Europe, to take advantage of a sunny summer week-end break. We are sure that for other hotels, rates on booking.com or other websites are lower than on Expedia.
