As all of the large international hotel chains, Best Western also offers a Best Rate
Guarantee.
This means that when you book directly through
Best Western´s website and then, within 24 hours you find a cheaper rate elsewhere, Best Western will give you the room at the cheaper
rate found and, in addition, will also send you a 100$ Best Western travel card.
The Travel Card will be sent by Best Western within two to three weeks after your stay.
This solution might not always work in all locations and all dates, as sometimes there are no cheaper rates elsewhere, but it is worth trying.
General conditions:
- an
online claim form must be submitted within 24 hours from the reservation made on Best Western´s website;
- the cheaper price found elsewhere must be for the same hotel, room type, dates of stay, length of stay,
same currency and number of
guests.

How the Best Western Low Rate Guaranteed works, in five simple steps:
Step 1
Look for your preferred hotel to see the room rates on Best Western´s official website - see link below:

Do not make the reservation yet, just write down the preferred room and rate.
Step 2
Search the same room at the same hotel on online travel agencies (e.g.
Expedia, Orbitz, etc.). You can see the comprehensive list of
travel agencies we use following the link below:

Note the web address and the amount of cheaper rate
found - the "Comparison rate" (also make a print-screen showing the
cheaper rate). Do
NOT make any reservation on that website, as
the final purpose is to make a discounted reservation through the Best Western official website.

Make a reservation through Best Western´s official website - see link below:

Note down the reservation number, as you will need it to file the claim form (in step 4).
Step 4
Within 24 hours from the Best Western reservation, submit the online
claim to ask for the Low Rate Guarantee, since you found
the cheaper rate elsewhere (at step 2). Use this link from the official
website to make the claim:

Step 5
A Best Western representative will contact you (usually within 48 hours) to
inform you about the claim: whether it was approved, or if not, the
reasons for dismissal. Here is where the print-screen (see step 2) might
come in handy, in case of disagreement with the Best Western representative.
Additional information
- it needs to be said that Best Western will have the final say on approval
or not, so, apart from providing good arguments during an e-mail / phone
discussion, there is not much left to be done on your side, except
trying again :))
- it is not clear whether the guarantee is valid only for hotel in North America or worldwide;
- opaque providers of hotel rooms, such as Priceline.com and
Hotwire.com, that do not reveal the hotel brand name until after you
have pre-paid your hotel room do not qualify for the guarantee;
- only one travel card er household per 30 day interval may be granted (this means that if you have two successful claims within a 30 days period, you will receive the 100$ card only for the first one);
- reservations booked within 48 hours of the earliest check-in time on the date of arrival do not qualify for the guarantee.
