Up to 50 000 Club Carlson bonus points for stays until 31 July 2016

The more you stay, the more you are rewarded with bonus points under the current Club Carlson promotion.

The promotion is valid at all Club Carlson properties worldwide (Radisson Blu, Radisson, Park Plaza, Park Inn by Radisson, Country Inns & Suites By Carlson and Quorvus Collection).

The reward scale is as follows:

- 5 000 points for the first 2 nights;

Accelerate 2016 - the new promotion from IHG Rewards

IHG Rewards, the loyalty programme of Intercontinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn hotels, runs a new promotion until April 2016.

How does it work: each member receives a personalised offer, based on his pattern of previous stays.

Each offer is composed of a number of challanges which need to be completed in order to earn over 50 000 bonus points.

Our offer is the following:

In our case, we just have to book and stay 3 nights before 30 April 2016, in order to get the maximum points with minimum spending:

- 1 night in January: we'll get 8 000 points (5 000 points being the January bonus plus 3 000 the bonus for the first night during the promotion period)

- 2 nights during a week-end until the end of April: we'll get 7 200 points (4 000 points for the week-end stay and 3 200 points for the second stay booked with the IHG app)

- with this week-end stay we would have completed also 3 out of the 4 challenges (except the "Stay More" bit) and we'll get additional 27 800 points.

Discounted hotel stays in Vancouver, Canada this winter

Following last year's promotion, the Vancouver Hotel Destination Association (VHDA) (a group of 35 downtown Vancouver hotels) came up with a similar offer, giving you hundreds of Canadian dollars in Amercian Express gift cards, depending on the length of your stay.

How does the deal work:

1. make a reservation through their official website:

2. next to each hotel you will see the value of AMEX gift cards you will get for each reservation. Depending on the category of the hotel, the first night stay is rewarded with a card with a value between 50 CAD and 125 CAD, while every subsequent night is rewarded with a 50 CAD voucher regardless of the hotel

3. when making the reservation online, you will pay the hotel charge in full and at check-in in Vancouver you will get at the reception AMEX gift cards for the value that was calculated when you made the booking

4. the gift cards can be used as you wish during your stay in Vancouver

These reservations are non-refundable, so book only if your travel plans are firm.
