Best hotel rates for Oktoberfest 2012 in and around Munich

Update: we also made a search for the 2013 Oktoberfest -> here.

As the start of Oktoberfest approaches, the options for a hotel stay become more and more limited and, consequently, the prices rise sky high.

We managed to find some (still) reasonable rates, but these are also likely to be booked soon.

The last rooms still available start at 46 euro per person per night (which is a great deal taking into account the madness that is in the city at that time of the year). Then for the top-end of the scale, for about 85 euro per person per night stay at the Sheraton in Munich (see list of available hotels below).

We based our search on a three night stay comprising the first week-end of Oktoberst: 21-24 September 2012, a double room, breakfast included, where possible (after a long night on a beer diet, a hearty breakfast is a great way to start the day):

- Best Western Grand City Neufahrn, for a total price of 278 euro from Otel.com (without breakfast)

- Ibis Budget Munchen Garching (ex-Etap Hotel), for a total price of 297 euro from Accorhotels.com. (breakfast excluded)

- Best Western Hotel Munich Airport, for a total price of 357 euro from Grand City Hotels (a chain of hotels) or at 370 euro from Lastminute.com (without breakfast)

- Hotel Domicil Munchen West, for a total price of 397 euro from AlphaRooms.com

- Hotel Henry Erding, for a total price of 423 euro from LateRooms.com (breakfast excluded)

- Moevenpick Hotel Munich Airport, for a total price of 470 euro from Lastminute.com (without breakfast)

- Arcadia Hotel Munchen Airport, for a total price of 477 euro from Hotels.com

- Hotel Ferchenhof, for a total price of 525 euro from booking.com

- Mercure Hotel Munchen Airport, for a total price of 530 euro from Farebuzz.com (without breakfast)

- Hotel Amiga, for a total price of 545 euro from Otel.com

- Pollinger Garni Munich, for a total price of 555 euro from EasyToBook.com

- Sheraton Munich Airport Hotel, for a total price of 555 euro from GetARoom.com
